In my opinion – and that of many of my business associates – HostPapa has a multitude of problems with customer service and honesty. In direct contradiction of ICANN regulations, they will list themselves at the domain name administrative contact. Essentially, they are taking control of your domain name, and will do everything they can to prevent you transferring it away – unless you pay “renewal” or “unlocking” fees. In some cases this can amount to $200 or more. ICANN does NOT allow a “losing” registrar to extort money to release a domain name for transfer. If you want to complain about registry problems, send a copy of your message to the “real” registrar, TuCows. HostPapa is NOT an ICANN-Accredited Registrar. I believe that HostPapa is a business front for TuCows, and they have an “office” in France so they can avoid taxes, and appear ‘international.’ My advice, based on my experience is: stay away from HostPapa. I really don’t care how “green” they appear to be. I don’t think they can be trusted. I have removed all my domain names from their clutches, and cancelled all services with them.

Hostpapa was easy to do business with and was very easy to use for a beginner. Prices are very acceptable, so I didn'nt feel any abuse on that side. I was actually very suprise by all the services and techsupport offered for the price. Thanks Hostpapa.

My small business needed a website desperately. This is all new to me, so I went with the green host with the best price and the best reviews. Why wouldn't you? This is great. My site is easy to navigate, always available, and a real boost to my business.

I currently utilize the email feature for my business more than anything. I’m not an organized person, too busy, but with Hostpapas organizer, Task Manager, Personal Memos, Address Book and Calendar features I’m hassle free. Hostpapa is great for commerce.

Really good hosting provider with great uptime. The registration was quick and easy. I got lots of different ad credits (worth $200) for free to quick advertise my website and so got lots of quick hits from the very first day and getting enough hits still after 8 months.
